At Eagle Caravans, Campers & Trailers, community is at the heart of what we do. Recently, our very own Brent proudly donated a large supply of batteries and torches to Backpacks 4 SA Kids, an incredible volunteer-driven organisation that supports children in crisis across South Australia.

Our Neighbours and Friends

Backpacks 4 SA Kids once shared our neighbourhood, operating just down the road from Eagle Caravans. While they’ve since moved to larger premises to keep up with growing demand, we’ve always admired the work they do and the impact they make.

Supporting them now feels like supporting an old friend — one that continues to do vital work for families and children in need.

About Backpacks 4 SA Kids

Founded in 2012, Backpacks 4 SA Kids provides backpacks filled with essential items to children who are displaced from home due to domestic violence, family crisis, or placement in foster care.

Each backpack contains items tailored to different age groups, such as clothing, toiletries, toys, books, and comfort items. These backpacks not only meet immediate practical needs but also offer reassurance and dignity to children navigating some of life’s toughest challenges.

Why Batteries and Torches Matter

Among the many items included in these backpacks, torches and batteries play a surprisingly important role. For children entering an unfamiliar environment, a simple torch can bring a sense of safety and control.

It’s a small but powerful reminder that they are not alone, and that their needs are being thought of with care. Brent’s donation ensures that more children will have access to this comfort and security.
